Biomasses are renewable resources of natural origin: unlike fossil sources such as oil, they can be regenerated compatibly with their use. Many of the bioprocesses are based on the use of edible biomasses, such as starch and sugars, the exploitation of which interferes with the food chain. In our project we want to use biomasses deriving from agro-industrial by-products, to be reused within more sustainable and circular processes.
